@VictimRLSH Hm, a quick test shows it's not working at runtime (i.e. without rebooting the device). Maybe fiddling with tvservice would allow this - I'll have a to check more.
@buzz is there any other way to have RetroPie on a multi boot? I would like to have different images of Retropie with different setups, without swapping different ssd every time.
@mitu It was there...until I reinstalled with the dispanx flag set...sorry about that.
So i added it back to the sorr directory and I can now get the game to launch using your original instructions. However the window is still just small in the upper left corner of the screen. :(
I reverted to an older fw. All is good. Protip, never buy vizio. They remove features. They removed chroma 4:4:4 in later fw updates and it screwed everything up.
@jimmi4u You problem might be that the gamepad is not P1, hence it's not active on the current system. That goes for all the controllers - if the F710 is P1, then it work, but the others don't work anymore.
@Darksavior mine drops to the console if that's where I start it or if from ES, drops me back there.
I'll try mitus suggestion first and see how that goes. It would be nice to be able to use this as I move my computer to the living room currently each time for the wife and I to game.
I finally brought my Pi4 home today so I might just give this a shot as well and see what happens with both retropie and SL later on.
@Drakaen391 Pins #2 and #4 can be used to input power without usb power or run devices with usb power so you have two to choose from. There are even more grounds.
Pins # 1 and #17 are 3V power outputs. I used those instead of the 5V because they would run the fan slightly slower which meant quieter fans as I didn't like the noise.
@hhromic
I have noobs on My Pi 4 with libreelect on it and i also starting to find Lakka alot easier then Retropie.
Just don't know how to set the roms up on the USB drive for Lakka other then retropie.
Retropie done gave me the red a.... because i keep getting a error when setting it up.
This video shows several heat tests on the Raspberry Pi 4 with and without passive and active cooling:
This video is interesting because it shows the FLIRC case (which doesn't come with a fan but the whole case is a heat sink) keeping the Raspberry Pi 4 cool enough and not being throttled:
I have a FLIRC case with the original Raspberry Pi 3B and it works quite well!
I made an arcade cabinet using a PI 4. I included pinball flipper buttons on the side. Having a lot of fun with amiga pinball games (Pinball Dreams, Fantasies, Illusions, Slam Tilt, etc..) on lr-puae. These are not as realistic as virtual pinball, but are a lot of fun to play and give the real pinball vibe.
I also installed davids midnight magic with lr-vice. Still a fun game to play real memory lane game for the c64.
On lr-pcsx2-rearmed you can play several pinball games.
and the most realistic pinball simulators on the pi4 as far as i have seen are williams pinball classic and gottlieb pinball classics on ppsspp emulator.
